Australia alumnus Poly CHIM graduated from Australian National University in 2014 with a Master degree. He is currently General Manager of MVL TADA Cambodia Co., Ltd (TADA), a ride-hailing service.
Since the outbreak of COVID-19, TADA has diversified its business by expanding services into the delivery of goods and merchandise. as a joint effort with the Royal Government of Cambodia. This has made an immediate impact by helping hundreds of drivers earn up to $10 per day extra in addition to their daily take from the ride hailing service.
Since its launch TADA has delivered thousands of packages including food, parcels and other necessary items. Their strategy developed in conjunction with the Royal Government of Cambodia is to offer this service to vendors free of charge for the initial month. Having seen the benefits of such a service over 30 different merchants have signed up for the service and TADA is being overwhelmed with enquiries from other merchants as the word spreads about the additional delivery option being offered.
Poly said: “With this initiative, TADA is providing much needed support to local businesses that have been impacted by the pandemic and don’t have their own delivery system and at the same time providing additional income for our drivers.”
