As my academic journey in Australia under an Australia Awards Scholarship comes to an end, I feel excited to return to my home country and utilise the knowledge and skills I gained to contribute to my professional and personal development and workplace.
It was such a great opportunity for me to pursue a master’s degree in public policy and management in Australia. The course allowed me to learn both the theories of policy cycle and best practices from other countries in designing and implementing efficient and effective public policy.
Melbourne, where I lived for one and a half years, now feels like a second home. I’ll fondly remember the liveable and vibrant city, the beautiful and resourceful university campus and libraries, and the unexpected weather, especially in the winter and spring seasons.
Upon my return to Cambodia, my wife and I look forward to travelling and having a nice time with family members. I’ll then resume my professional career in the field of development cooperation and partnerships where I intend to apply my knowledge and skills to contribute to the betterment of my workplace. Meanwhile, I plan to explore opportunities to share knowledge, skills, and hands-on experiences with other students and the young generation.
