Important Update for Australia Awards Scholarships Applicants:

Great news! Starting from Intake 2025, IELTS One Skill Retake (OSR) test results are now accepted as “an eligible English language test result” for both eligibility and placement purposes. Applicants relying on OSR must submit both their ‘original’ IELTS result AND their OSR test result with their application to ensure their application is eligible for consideration.

Applicants who receive a provisional award, can also use OSR for placement purposes. However, not all Australian universities currently accept OSR.
Implications for Provisional Awardees relying on OSR:
1). Change preferred university if it doesn’t accept OSR.
2). Undertake English Language Training to meet English language requirements (without OSR) for universities not accepting it.

Note: OSR is an IELTS One Skill Retake is available for computer-based tests and through IDP only. It allows test takers to retake one of the four skills (listening, reading, writing, and speaking) within 60 days of the original test, with results released within 3-5 days.
