Returning for Cambodia’s Development – Sour Mengyou

My two years in Australia, on an Australia Awards Scholarship, have been life changing. I’ve turned challenges into strengths and now, with mixed emotions, I’m ready to return to Cambodia and contribute to its development with my increased knowledge.

Beyond the classroom, immersing in Australia’s diverse cultures and institutions has greatly broadened my horizons. I hope to bring these insights back to Cambodia for our collective growth.

I’ll miss the good and hard times, the friends I’ve made, and Australia’s relaxing environment. The challenge of completing academic assessments under pressure is an unforgettable and rewarding memory. I’m eager to reunite with my family and friends in Cambodia and enjoy my favourite Khmer food. Especially grateful to the Australia Awards Scholarships for this incredible journey.
