Every conclusion marks a fresh start. I feel excited and grateful for the chances I’ve been given through my Australia Awards Scholarship. As I’m about to return, I look forward to seeing my family and friends, spending time and having a nice meal with them while sharing my experiences in Australia, and eating a variety of delicious Khmer food.

During my time here, I had the opportunity to explore many breathtaking locations in Australia and make friends with people from diverse backgrounds. However, I also feel sentimental as the time passes. This has been a great journey for me, and I’ll cherish all the memories—people, places, and experiences.

The time I spent with my friends and flatmates was priceless. Our moments were full of fun and laughter. We exchanged our cultural understandings, hopes, and dreams, becoming siblings from different countries. We made the most of those precious moments together, which I’ll treasure forever.

The people I met during my time in Australia are like my other family to me: a major source of encouragement for me to keep working hard till I graduate. To be honest, I’ll probably miss going grocery shopping. I remember walking to the supermarket almost every day. I’ll also miss the tranquil and peaceful neighborhood I lived in and the fresh air and clean environment it offered.
