I’m grateful to the Australia Awards Scholarships and the Australian Government for the opportunity to pursue my Master of Commerce at RMIT University. My scholarship not only helped me to achieve my academic goals but also gave me the opportunity interact with other international students and fully experience Australian culture, particularly the permaculture community. This experience has really changed me, helping me to grow personally and professionally.
While I can’t wait to see my loved ones again in Cambodia, it’ll be difficult to say goodbye to Melbourne, where I’ve spent the last two years. I’ll always cherish all my accomplishments and experiences from my time spent in Australia.
Traveling and discovering Australia’s diverse landscapes was one of the best parts of my stay there. Every experience I had enhanced my knowledge and admiration of Australia’s distinctive landscapes, from the energetic metropolitan life to the tranquil national parks spread over multiple states. I also had a lot of fun participating in the permaculture community and interacting with the local coffee culture, which is one of my passions.
I’m thankful for the supportive academic environment at RMIT University, the cultural experiences in Melbourne, and the unforgettable journey I’ve had.
I look forward to reconnecting with family and applying my knowledge to Cambodia, feeling emotional but fulfilling at the same time at the prospect of making a positive impact.
