Returning for Cambodia’s Development – Lim Lily

I’m delighted at the prospect of returning to Cambodia. I’m extremely proud of and thankful for the opportunities that come with having an Australia Awards Scholarship!

Studying in Australia has been a pleasant journey, broadening my horizons and enriching my knowledge. I’ll dearly miss the diverse and inclusive learning environment at RMIT University. Exploring Australia’s natural beauty and seeing kangaroos were unforgettable experiences.

 

I’ll also fondly remember the friendly people, high-quality education, multicultural society, efficient public transport, diverse cuisines, the laid-back lifestyle and work-life balance.

I’m excited to get back in touch with my friends and family in Cambodia, having meals prepared by my mother and authentic Cambodian fare like Amok and Kuy Teav, as well as seasonal fruits.

 

I’m just as excited to use my work to positively influence change in any sector—development, education, or anything else.
