I’m eager to return to Cambodia after completing my Australia Awards Scholarship, under which I’ll obtain a master’s degree in Asia and Pacific Studies at the Australian National University.
The scholarship allowed me to gain flexibility and critical thinking, improving my understanding of Australian society, culture, and people from various perspectives.
I’ll miss the surroundings, the tranquility of Canberra, and the opportunity to travel and enrich my soul. The surroundings where people and animals live in harmony and where there are lots of green areas and ecological sustainability. My current place of residence, Canberra, has been a source of serenity. While in Australia, I got the opportunity to travel to other Pacific countries, particularly several little island nations that are hard to get to from Cambodia.
I’m looking forward to reintegrating into Cambodian society and resuming journalism, aiming to enhance the press community after a two-year break for professional and personal growth. It’s now time to put into practice what I’ve learned and to achieve the goals I set out in my application when I first applied.
