Returning for Cambodia’s Development – Tiep Sotha

I’m grateful for the opportunity to complete a Master of Accounting at the Australian National University under a prestigious Australia Awards Scholarship that has transformed my skills in accounting and finance. I’m eager to return to Cambodia and apply my knowledge to improve public financial management and governance.

 

My best time in Australia was my academic journey at the ANU and exploring the country’s landscapes and cities. I’ll miss the multicultural environment, supportive academic community, and the friendly, welcoming nature of Australia.

 

I can’t wait to reunite with family and friends, indulge in traditional Cambodian cuisine, and rejoin my colleagues at the National Audit Authority to apply the techniques and insights I’ve gained in Australia to improve our practices. I’m also excited to participate in local cultural events and festivals, enjoying the warmth and vibrancy of my home country.
