Returning for Cambodia’s Development – Chea Phearoth

I feel proud of what I’ve accomplished and grateful for this incredible Australia Awards experience. Studying my Master of International Relations at Monash has been life-changing. I’m truly excited to go home, see my family, and start using my new knowledge and skills. I’m looking forward to this new chapter.

A defining moment during my time in Australia was overcoming challenges like studying in a new environment, improving English, and engaging in diverse class discussions. Exploring Melbourne and its culture helped me grow personally and professionally.

I’ll really miss Melbourne’s diverse culture, vibrant arts scene, coffee culture, beach walks, parks, and Monash University’s supportive environment.

I’m eager to reconnect with family and enjoy traditional dishes after catching up. I’m also keen to apply my master’s program knowledge to Cambodia.

Finally, I’d like to thank the Australia Awards Scholarships for this invaluable opportunity. This experience has been instrumental in shaping my academic and professional development, and I am truly thankful for the support and investment in my future.
