Thirty-three EPP students today started a new term of English language training at ACE. Sixteen (including 8 new students) are undertaking the English Language Training and IELTS Preparation class, and seventeen (including 7 new students) the Advanced IELTS Preparation class. The training is designed to help students meet the English language eligibility requirements for Australia Awards Scholarships.

Australia Awards Cambodia is committed to creating opportunities for all. The Equity Pathways Program (EPP) supports prospective Australia Awards Scholarships candidates from equity target groups who face social, educational, or structural barriers that limit their access to opportunities, including scholarships. Equity target groups include women; people with disability; people living and working outside Phnom Penh; Indigenous and ethnic minorities; and other marginalised groups, including LGBTQIA+.

EPP support includes up to 3–4 terms of part time English language training, IELTS preparation and testing, mentoring and professional development activities. Qualifying students receive travel, accommodation and internet allowances. An internship program is also available for prospective AAS applicants with disability and members of Indigenous and ethnic minority groups to assist them in meeting AAS’ 24 months’ work experience requirement. All EPP support is designed to remove access barriers and boost competitiveness for Australia Awards Scholarships.
Thirteen AAS awardees for Intake 2026 received support under the EPP.
