Reflecting on the journey, I realise how far I have come. I moved forward even when I didn’t fully know what lay ahead. Looking back, I know that applying for the Australia Awards Scholarships was the right decision. Reaching this milestone means a great deal to me. The beginning was the hardest part, but it made the outcome even more rewarding. I’m deeply grateful to my family and everyone whose support and belief kept me going. I’d also like to sincerely thank Australia Awards Cambodia and the Australian Government for granting me this prestigious opportunity.
My experience in Australia was far beyond an academic journey. Studying abroad allowed me to learn much more than I expected, not only through my studies but also through living independently in a new environment. I built meaningful friendships, grew as a person, and gradually came to understand my identity more clearly. The journey felt like a story unfolding episode by episode, sometimes without a clear direction. I didn’t even realise it had already come to an end, and it was through this journey that I discovered my own resilience.
Through my Master of Public Policy studies, I’ve gained practical skills in policy analysis and research. I’m particularly excited to apply these skills in Cambodia to support evidence-based decision-making, policy design, and effective implementation.
