My Australia Awards Scholarships journey has helped me grow academically, professionally, and personally, and deepened my commitment to Cambodia’s development.
This journey has reminded me that education is not only about personal achievement. It’s also about responsibility — the responsibility to bring knowledge home, apply it with integrity, and contribute to positive change.
Through my Master of Laws at Monash University, I gained deeper insight into workplace and employment issues. Subjects such as workplace law, investigations, misconduct, negotiation, digital workplace law, high-conflict behaviour, and current issues in employment law strengthened my understanding of fairness, accountability, technology, workplace culture, and power in employment relationships.
With my background in labour compliance, factory assessment, advisory work, and dispute resolution, this experience helped me connect legal knowledge with Cambodia’s labour market, especially where workers’ rights, business responsibilities, and international labour standards meet.
I return with stronger skills in legal research, analysis, communication, negotiation, advisory work, and workplace investigations, along with a renewed commitment to help build fairer, safer, and more inclusive workplaces in Cambodia.
I look forward to reuniting with my family, friends, colleagues, and community, and to continuing my work in Cambodia’s labour and employment sector with purpose and dedication.
