Welcoming home Cambodia’s latest changemakers – Pen Sophanit

I can’t believe how quickly my time in Australia, studying for a Master of Public Health Economics and Economic Evaluation, has passed. It’s been a journey filled with unforgettable experiences, meaningful friendships, and valuable lessons that have helped me grow academically, professionally, and personally.

 

One defining moment during my studies in Australia was finding the university library full and realising how strongly students valued independent learning, which inspired me to become more proactive, disciplined, and responsible for my own study.

I’ve learned new ways to think about how healthcare resources can be used more efficiently and fairly by using cost-effectiveness analysis and health data to support evidence-based decisions.
